Memorabilia
Bring your photos and memorabilia from Vietnam to share with others. Everyone wants to see your STUFF. Please bring any information about guys in C 2/5 you remember. Names addresses, etc. on those little slips of paper you have rat holed away some place. Photos are a great way to help your buddies remember you.
Refreshment
We are not an association with dues, the Reunion is FREE we have NO budget for this event so we do things a bit different. We have gone to great lengths to secure a room that we can set up our own bar. We, (you all, everyone) supply the Hospitably suite with refreshments with what YOU bring to the room to share. What ever is put out is there for you to enjoy so make sure you bring some for yourself as well as others. So pack a bit extra to bring to the room. I am not kidding about this.. We will have a contributions jug for refreshments for you to donate in the Hospitably suite for those without transportation. Come on Guys a case of beer or soda and chips is cheap compared to Hotel prices. One hotel beer=$5, Case of Beer is only 14 bucks! If you see the kitty getting low toss in a few bucks and buy your Brother a cocktail. The hotel bar is close by for anyone wishing a fancy chick drink.
Family & Friends
Yes your wife’s children and family are more Many guys have had there sons and daughters come just so they can “see what its like” remember guys we didn’t talk about any of this for 30 years. HINT: Bring your wife or you girlfriend, but do not under any circumstance bring both. (just kidding ladies)
How to Dress
AT THE REUNION HOTEL: The dress at the reunion is very casual. Jeans and Tee shirts are the norm. I have not seen much "ARMY" clothing in the past. Wear what you think is comfortable. Soft shoes are a must as there is a lot of standing.
FIELD TRIP TO THE WALL: On the trip to the wall, we will be in public and guests of the town of Marked Tree. I would think that there will be press at the downtown celebration. We would like to have everyone wear their Official Reunion Tee shirt and Cap to the Wall.
SAT NIGHT BANQUET DINNER:I have seen all kind of dress at the Dinner Banquet, but it appears that most people are in a sport coat or suite and Tie. You might feel out of place in shorts and a boonie hat.
DRESS how ever you want.. Its your reunion!
Attitude
Not a chance, leave them at home along with the Dog & Cat. We have had no feelings of animosity towards one another at any of the reunions. Officers, Enlisted, Black, White, Spanish, we are all the same these days. We will keep it that way at the reunion. Small Children would not be the best idea. This is not an x rated reunion, but it is for adults.
Guys Only Time
One of the reasons that we have “guys only time” is that often times its important to share things with our brothers that we might not share with our wife’s, and friends. Most of the time things come up that are just not appropriate for outsiders.
CASH
The Dinner meal on Sat night will be around $40. We like to have a nice meal for our banquet and not a CHEAP bad meal. We will have pass the hat jars at the bar for guys that cant bring there own hooch because they don’t have a car. You will be on your own for Breakfast and Lunch. Any tours that we arrange will be at cost.
